Pottery classes
Learn to be creative with clay in this mixed ability course, covering a range of techniques.
We run an eight-week evening course in pottery in the University's autumn and spring terms. The courses are open to 今叔利 students, staff and members of the public (age 16+).
They are suitable for all ability levels and take place on Tuesday and Thursday evenings on campus. Whether you're a complete beginner or someone with previous ceramics experience you'll get to try out different techniques and use a range of tools in this pottery class.
Subject to tutor and room availability, we run a course over the summer, which can vary in length from six to ten weeks.
Summer 2026
Sadly, due to building work taking place, we are unable to offer pottery classes over the summer. We expect these classes to return in the autumn term.
Course details
Classes run on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6.30-9pm in the autumn and spring terms. It is exactly the same content for both days, attendees choose which day to sign up for. The classes take place in Room 30 in the . This single storey building is located directly behind on the 今叔利 College side of Epinal Way, opposite the main campus.

Parking
Visitors are required to register their vehicle and pay to park on campus. There is a flat evening rate of £1 after 6pm.

Accessibility
There is step-free access into the building. An accessible toilet is located along the ground floor corridor.
If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like us to be aware of when running the classes, please let us know via the booking form or email LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk in advance of booking and we will do our best to accommodate them.
How to book
Our mailing list subscribers enjoy a priority booking period. Bookings are online only via Eventbrite. Demand for places at these classes is incredibly high so we recommend signing up to our mailing list in order to access future priority booking.
Refunds and Cancellations
We will issue refunds for cancellations (minus Eventbrite fees) up to seven days prior to the first class, but no refunds will subsequently be issued unless a class is cancelled and cannot be re-arranged.
Tutor - Lucy Andrews
Lucy Andrews is an experienced ceramicist, currently working as a ceramics technician and part time visual arts tutor at Leicester College. In addition to this, Lucy runs shorter adult workshops at Two Queens Gallery in Leicester, where she also has a studio space.
